【Fun Facts About Harami】

Thank you as always for dining with us at Yakiniku Suzuki (read as “Suzuki”)‼️

Today, we’d like to share a few interesting facts about one of the most beloved yakiniku cuts: harami 🐄✨

Although harami looks and tastes like lean red meat,

did you know it’s actually classified as offal (horumon)? 😳

Even more surprising—it’s extremely rare, with only about 2–3 kg available per cow‼️

There are actually two types of harami:

  • Outside Skirt (near the ribs) → on our menu as “Tokusen Harami”
  • Sagari (near the lumbar spine) → on our menu as “Tokujo Harami”

Here’s what makes each special:

🥩 Outside Skirt

Rich and juicy, with moderate marbling and a pleasant chew that’s still tender.

You can enjoy the deep, unique flavor that only horumon can offer.

🥩 Sagari

Lower in fat, lighter in taste, yet still rich in umami.

A refined, easy-to-eat cut perfect for those who prefer something lighter. ✨

Another bonus: harami is high in protein, low in sugar, and packed with nutrients like iron and B vitamins that help support muscle building.

Delicious and good for your body! 🔥

We invite you to experience the unique taste and quality of Suzuki’s specially selected harami cuts.

Taste the difference‼️ 😊
